Remember this recipe? Well, I do! It is one of my favorite holiday treats and you will have to forgive me for the original post. It’s well…just not that good and that photo, oh, that photo is just horrendous, and since I took it, I have full rights to dis it. But seriously, what was I thinking? Oh wait, I wasn’t really, I was still trying to figure out what this blog was going to be, who was going to read it and trying really hard to make you like me. And let’s face it, every once in awhile, things deserve a re-do and I think we can both agree this is one of them. Not only is this easy, it is oh so addicting. In fact, a few people refer to it as Christmas crack, and it is the perfect treat to bring along to a party or use in your baking exchange. You won’t be disappointed…promise!
Oh and…uh, thanks for liking me!
3 Cups White Chocolate Wafers (morsels) or Melting Chocolate
4 Cups of Golden Grahams
1 Cup of Red & Green M &M’s (or Smarties)
1/2 Cup of Craisins
Cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Mix the golden grahams, M&M’s, and Craisins in a bowl and set aside.
Using a large bowl and the double boiler method, melt the chocolate until smooth. Remove from the heat.
Pour the cereal mixture into the melted chocolate and mix until well combined. Pour the mixture onto the cookie sheet and put it in the refrigerator to set.
Once it is set, break it into pieces.
Note – I ran out of white chocolate in a batch I made last week and substituted Hershey’s Hugs and it was equally delicious. You can also feel free to add whatever mix ins your heart desires. Just don’t mess with the Golden Grahams, okay!?
